A New Chapter...

I am starting a new chapter in life. I have learned soo much over the past year. I have met some wonderful people and my family has really grown over the past year. Plus I have personally grown from where I was a year ago. I have learned soo much about who I am and what I really want from life.

So as most of you know from reading Scrapfunattic's blog, I am not going to be teaching classes as of this May. I have enjoyed teaching classes soo much and getting to know everyone in my class!! You all are such wonderful ladies!!! The hardest part is leaving all of you!! Thank you for coming to all the classes, it's been soo much fun!!! And thank you Scrapfunattic for the experience!! I am definitely going to miss teaching classes, but I am happy to start a new chapter in my life.

I am whooped

I think these days of running around are catching up with me! I didn't get home after 11pm last night. And I was out of the house by 8:15am. I had Bible Study first thing in the morning and then I headed over to Genny's for some coffee and muffins. Delish muffins I might add!!! I was childless so it was nice to be able to just sit and not worry about what someone was getting into! After Genny's I had to run two quick errands for Kevin. Then I just made it home to pick Johnny up for school and take him back from where I was for Bible Study. After dropping him off I ran home so Kevin could get to work. Then I did nothing for 2 1/2 hours, that was nice. I just hung out with Jaxi. We just played and ate lunch together. He isn't feeling so great. His 2 year molars are are trying to work their way through. He just has big swollen bubbles in the back of his mouth. Poor budah.
Before I knew it, it was time to go back to school and get Johnny. After school one of the Mom's wanted to go out tot he house and see the progress. So we all went out there. And let me tell ya!!! The stair case is soooo coming along! I think I am going to be in love with it too!!! After school we just had time to get a little snack being that it was my cheat day we went for french fries at MickeyD's!!!! Then we headed home. At this time it was down poring rain and I just wanted to sit in the car and listen to the rain some down and eat my fries!!! So I did the kids were like want to go in the house. I told them finish your movie and friend and then we'll go in! The rain was to peaceful to miss out on!!!! We finally went in according to Johnny. He thought I was crazy!!! Oh well... Kevin got home about an hour later and he was hungry!!! So I headed to Thai Tradition for some take out!!! Ummm if you haven't been it's a MUST!!!!! After dinner I made brownies. By the time all that jazz was done it was time for baths, books and bed!!!! Then I still had to head to the gym. I got there about 9:15 and didn't get done until 10:30. Then I had one little errand to run for myself!!! I went and got some pictures scanned and printed!! That took me forever!! But I have been wanting to get it done forever but didn't have the time. By the time I got home I took a shower sat on the couch and told Kev I am out, I am going to bed! I slept the whole night!!! That hardly ever happens!!!! Johnny woke me up at 8am this morning!!! I slept soo hard I could hardly move plus I think my work out kicked mt booty!!! That is a good thing!!!!

So today it all starts over again! I am super excited out tile is being delivered to the cheerio. We can't take it to the house b/c the trucks can't get through the mud. So they are delivering it here to the cheerio. All three tons of it!!! That should be interesting! Today is the last day we can have it at the warehouse. So we really don't have a choice. I just I will be moving things around in the garage to make space for the pallets! Good times.

Okay I know this is just a big ol' ramble I don't even know if this gets read but I feel better after recapping my day. Not soo overwhelmed.... I hope everyone has a wonderful Thursday!!! I am going out to the house today to take some more pictures!!!

When is Spring going to Spring into Action????

Oh I am getting soo tired of the cold!!!!! Hello it is April 8th!!! Hello!!!! Anyways, Kevin and I had a crazy morning. Actually it's already been a fun fulfilled week of house errands!! Today we went concrete window shopping!!! We went to some different subdivisions looking at peoples concrete and looking for the stamp to see who did it! We were looking for one particular stamp to make our decision on who was going to do ours!! I kinda felt like a stalker!!! We would stop at every house in the subdivision look over the concrete and them look for the stamp. The kids were like wth?!?!?! At one point Johnny was like what are we doing?!??!?! He thought he was going to see a cement mixer truck and was kinda disappointed! I told him when our concrete gets poured we can watch and put our hand prints in the sports court!!! He didn't like the idea of getting his hands dirty!!! Sooo his Daddy!! funny... Jaxi will probably dive in! ha! Anyways if this weather will ever dry out and get warm we can get some of this concrete going!!! It will be soo nice! Plus it is one more step to the house being complete!!!!
Kevin ended up staying home with Jaxi so I could do some more house shopping! I was on a mission for Balusters. Fun let me tell ya!!! not really. I went out west to a beautiful gallery but got hooked up with a not soo intelligent fella. So I left! I headed back out tot he house to see all that was new!!! I have a pantry!!! and my desk is almost complete!!! All the crown is done and almost all the base boards are done!!! By the time I got done with everything it was time to get Johnny from school and head to the grocery store for the bag of groceries that did not get put in my car from the day before?!?!?! Soo irritated!!! Anyways. When I got home I was still on my mission to find my balusters. And I did, I totally scored!!!! I found some beautiful balusters online in MO!!!! They are only going to take two days to get here and I got them for a whole lot less that I could have gotten them in town!!!! That was the best part!!! Here's what they are going to look like. They are going to be staggered going down the stair case!!!

Monday!

Yeah Love Monday!!! I don't know why but maybe because it feels like a fresh start to a new week! Even though my Mondays are pretty much the same as the last Monday, I still like them! Today I got my workout in with a friend from the wiki!!! It was fun to work out with some one!!! It's been a while since I have done that. Then I was off to my daily errands. I usually get home from the Y and Kevin has accumulated a list of "to dos" for me. Well let me tell ya I am whooped today. I don't think it is from the errands but I think it is this crazy weather. Total stay in your jammies all day kind of day. Plus what is the deal with the smoke!??! I know El Dorado was having controlled fires but geez my street was sooo smoky I couldn't see my neighbors house. Hopefully the rain will wash it away!
Well I am pretty excited I got an email today for Johnny baseball information. He is going to be playing his first year of t-ball through Blessed Sacrament's Baseball League. His team is coed and has 15 kids on it. He starts like on the asap!!! They will have 4 practices before his first game at the end of May. The name of his team is the Padres!!! YEAH!!! GO CA!!!! I can not tell you how excited to watch him play and be involved in sports!!!! He seems to be just as excited!!!
Well need to get the boys ready for bed!!! Hope you all had a great Monday!!

things are starting to come together!!

Yeah!!! Things are really starting to come together at the house. It feels like we have been doing nothing but working on it. I had another busy week of lining up bids with different people and meeting with the trim carpenter to make sure things are what we wanted. It's been fun to see the house take shape. I am soo excited. I hate shopping especially for furniture. I mean I should say hate but it's not one of my favorite things to if it's not something like shoes, purses or scrapbooking supplies. Anyways not much of that kind of shopping happening around here. So I was complaining about our options of stores here in good ol' Wichita. I just can't find what I am looking for. I am totally rustic old Italian style and Kevin is ultra modern. Way opposite ends of the earth!! ha! Figures.... Anyways, I was talking to our carpenter and he suggested having our furniture made. I was like really what a concept! So our carpenter is making our office furniture and my dinning furniture and I am going to talk to him about making our master bedroom furniture. I love that it is custom and that you are going to find it anywhere else. I love that I have an idea in my head and I draw in on paper and he just runs with it!!!! Kinda like the wall unit in the living room. He made my idea 100 times better. He is soo talented!!! Kevin is just amazed by him!!!
Well on top of the house we have our life that is keeping us busy. We had a semi nice week of weather this past week. Well for Kansas you never know what you are going to get each day!!! ha! We actually made it to the park and we weren't freezing in the wind! The boys had a blast!!! We first headed to Sonic for "happy hour" 1/2 price drinks! Thanks Genny!! And then headed tot he park. Johnny just amazes me how he climbs up everything and has no fears of heights. Then he goes down these big slides and doesn't think twice and runs back up and does it all over again! Then there is Jaxi, he wants to big soo bad. He kept trying soo hard to follow Johnny everywhere and go up the big slide. The little slide he was on last week just wasn't exciting to him at all. funny.
Yesterday Johnny and I spent the day together just the two of us. He is soo cute!! And funny to listen to! We went shopping for the rest of our exterior lights and some door knobs. Johnny picked out "train" door knobs for his closets and I chose "baseballs" for Jaxi's closet doors. Cute!!! After our day of shopping I decided to take him to get an ice cream. We met up with my Dad since we were on the west of town. We went to Braums and Johnny was trying different ice creams. He chose Peppermint of all ice creams!!! He loved it. He even got it on a cone, something he has never had! I know my children are sooo deprived!!! lol!!! Anyways he loved it and my Dad and Johnny ate ice cream and talked trains! Cute!!!
After my day I was kinda whooped!!! Although we had to stay up because Kevin's team KU was playing in the Final Four!!! He was soo excited but couldn't handle watching the game. It was on after the kids went to bed soo he watched a movie and I kept checking the score online. I was sooo excited for them but couldn't tell him! He finally couldn't take it any more and starting watching the game. (he recorded it so he could watch it if they won and erase it if they lost) He gets very emotional watching these games. He is sooo a die hard fan of the Jayhawks!!! Rock Chalk Jayhawk!!!!
While he finished up the game I went downstairs to scrapbook. I got two layouts done and I made a couple more things for my Etsy store. I don't think my Etsy store is going to be a huge things I just think it will be fun to have. I will take pictures later when the sun is out and the cheerio isn't soo dark! ha! Okay now that I have written a novel have a great Sunday!!!!
